A fitting and turning is a trade who manufactures metal components (turning) and assembles them (turning) to construct industrial machinery, machine components or tools. TRADE TEST QUALIFICATION – On the completion of this qualification, a successful candidate can obtain a trade test qualification in industry.
Career Opportunities:
Fitters and turners make sure machinery used in component production is consistently maintained and oversee any repair work when required. They apply cosmetic coatings or protective fluids or metals to ensure components have a long lifespan.
N1 Level: Passed Grade 9 & 10
N2 Level: Passed Grade 10 & 11
N3 level:
1) National Certificate (Matric) or its equivalent qualification with a pass in the following subjects:
English language level 3 (40% above) Pure Mathematics level 3 (40% above) Physical Science level 3 (40% above)
2) Have passed N2
